Decatur General’s full-service labor and delivery, nursery and postpartum team offer the latest techniques in reducing pain, increasing relaxation and offering physical support. And, should the need for more complex care arise, our state-of-the-art facilities and highly trained staff are backed by more than 85 years experience delivering babies in Decatur.

Comprehensive Prenatal Care

Healthy babies start with healthy pregnancies. Our comprehensive programs cover everything from what to eat and how to exercise, to proper breathing and relaxation techniques during labor. Prenatal classes are offered throughout the year. Our knowledgeable healthcare professionals are available to answer your questions, tour you through the facility and assist you with pre-registration.

State-of-the-Art Labor and Delivery Facilities

Privacy is important. That’s why all rooms and suites in the Women's Center are private, and designed for the needs of one laboring mother, child and those who support her. Rooms and suites are also fully equipped with the highest technology and furnished comfortably to feel more like home.
