Whether you are with us for a simple out-patient procedure or a major life event, the staff and caregivers at Decatur General are ready. Our personalized care plan includes patient education and detailed information so you know exactly what to expect, at what time, from which caregiver. From there, we’ll support you through the procedure, explaining as we go and making sure to keep you relaxed. After all, change isn’t always easy. We’ll do what we can to make your time with us manageable, comfortable, and pleasant.

We make it our business to reach out to all women in our care. But for those undergoing life-changing surgeries, such as hysterectomy, mastectomy and plastic reconstruction, we provide an additional level of support, education and compassionate care—for as long after your surgery as you need it.
